Starting life as a naturally curious but relatively reserved thinker, I was accustomed to carefully observing my surroundings. I used this skill as I went through school up through the North Carolina School of Science & Mathematics, on to Wake Forest University, and ultimately through the University of Auckland for two masters degrees. Observation coupled with patience and organizational skills have helped me through my career in the university setting, government IT systems, and running my own business. I'd really enjoy putting these skills to work for you as well.
My parents provided a combination of engineering and legal education while school is where I pursued math and science. My hobbies outside school gave me an appreciation and ability with my hands through things like motorcycle and car restoration, furniture construction, and small electronics repair. Later in my education I engaged business, economics, and data analytics. I continue to develop skills in all these areas and it is for this reason that I choose to start my own business rather than necessarily confine myself to a single path through traditional employment.
The key to properly utilizing a diverse range of skills is knowing your limits and asking for help when it's needed. This is an important realization for both myself and my clientele. I work with all my clients in an honest and open style of communication to ensure that all needs are known and no expectations are assumed. If a skill or resource is required that I do not possess then I'm more than willing to admit it and help to locate the required resource. The success of my clientele is an essential aspect to my outlook on the role of my business.
Since 2013 I have run this business serving individuals and small businesses. From 2013 to 2016, I worked for a New Zealand government agency tasked with improving the innovative businesses of that nation.
Raised by an engineer, educated as a scientist, and eager to put both to use, I aim to help connect the mindsets of multiple disciplines to address the needs and progress the abilities of my clientele.
My interests in all things digital, from the latest devices to the newest applications, drives me to help others by ensuring the most appropriate tool for the job is being used.
